3. SCOPE OF PRACTICE
The work offered at Sacred Woman Institute operates within the following scope:

Women's personal development and wellness coaching
Tantra-informed wellness education

Sacred Woman Institute does not offer trauma therapy, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psychiatric care, or any form of licensed mental health treatment. If sessions or practices surface material that requires therapeutic support, clients will be encouraged and referred to seek appropriate licensed professional care.
4. SELF-DIRECTED PRACTICES
Certain between-session and in-program practices offered through Sacred Woman Institute -- including but not limited to pelvic awareness practices, sensate focus exercises, breathwork sequences, and self-pleasure or self-intimacy practices -- are self-directed practices to be undertaken independently by the client in their own time and space.
These practices are educational and wellness-oriented in nature. They are not performed by, witnessed by, or directed in real time by Emyluz Delmar Riva during sessions. Sacred Woman Institute assumes no liability for how a client chooses to engage with, modify, or apply these practices in their personal life.
5. EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Somatic and embodiment work can bring up strong emotional responses, including surfacing of memories, grief, intense physical sensations, or altered states. By engaging with any content, session, program, or product offered by Sacred Woman Institute, you acknowledge and agree that:
You are engaging voluntarily and take full personal responsibility for your participation.
You will not hold Sacred Woman Institute LLC or Emyluz Delmar Riva liable for any emotional discomfort, physical sensations, or psychological material that arises during or after sessions or practices.
You understand that Sacred Woman Institute is not a crisis service and is not equipped to provide emergency mental health support.
If at any point you feel you are in crisis, you will immediately seek support from a qualified mental health professional or emergency services (911 or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
6. PHYSICAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Certain practices offered at Sacred Woman Institute -- including breathwork, Kundalini yoga, somatic movement, and stretch coaching -- involve physical activity and may alter physiological states. You are solely responsible for assessing whether you are physically able to participate safely.
Before beginning any physical practice offered through Sacred Woman Institute, you should consult a qualified healthcare provider if you have any of the following or similar conditions:
Cardiovascular conditions, high blood pressure, or history of stroke or heart attack
Epilepsy or seizure disorders
Pregnancy or recent post-partum recovery
History of dissociation, psychosis, or significant trauma
Glaucoma or detached retina (relevant for breathwork and inversions)
Recent surgery, acute injury, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions
Any condition for which physical exertion or breath manipulation is contraindicated
Sacred Woman Institute is not liable for any physical injury, illness, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, or adverse reaction arising from participation in any practice, session, program, or use of any product.

Physical products sold by Sacred Woman Institute, including journals and lifestyle merchandise, are sold as-is for personal wellness and lifestyle purposes only. They are not medical devices, therapeutic instruments, or substitutes for professional care.
Sacred Woman Institute makes no representations or warranties regarding the fitness of physical products for any particular purpose beyond their stated use. Sacred Woman Institute is not liable for any injury, adverse reaction, or damage arising from the use or misuse of any physical product. All sales of physical products are subject to the return and refund policy communicated at the time of purchase.
8. IN-PERSON SESSIONS -- PREMISES AND SAFETY
Certain sessions may be conducted in person, either at the client's location or at Sacred Woman Institute's private studio in Westport, Connecticut. By agreeing to an in-person session, you acknowledge and agree to all of the following:
When sessions occur at Sacred Woman Institute's studio:
You are entering a private residence and agree to conduct yourself respectfully and in accordance with any studio guidelines communicated prior to your session.
Sacred Woman Institute maintains a professional environment and reserves the right to terminate any session immediately and without refund if a client's behavior is inappropriate, threatening, disrespectful, or unsafe.
Sacred Woman Institute is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property brought onto the premises by clients.
You acknowledge that Emyluz Delmar Riva may share the residence with other individuals and agree to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of any persons encountered on the premises.
Sacred Woman Institute is not liable for accidents, injuries, or adverse events that occur on or around the premises, except where directly caused by gross negligence on the part of Sacred Woman Institute.
You assume all ordinary risks associated with entering and navigating a private home studio environment.
When sessions occur at the client's location:
Emyluz Delmar Riva reserves the right to decline or terminate an in-person session at any client's location at any time, for any reason, without liability.
The client agrees to provide a safe, private, and appropriate environment for the session and to disclose in advance any conditions -- including the presence of pets, minors, mobility constraints, or other factors -- that may affect the session.
Sacred Woman Institute is not liable for accidents, injuries, or adverse events that occur at the client's location, except where directly caused by gross negligence on the part of Sacred Woman Institute.
Travel fees, if applicable, will be communicated prior to booking and are non-refundable once travel has commenced.
For all in-person sessions:
Physical touch, if any, will only occur with your explicit verbal consent and strictly within the professional scope of the specific modality being practiced (e.g., Reiki, stretch coaching). Consent may be withdrawn at any time without consequence to the client relationship.
Sacred Woman Institute does not engage in any physical contact that is sexual in nature. Any perception of inappropriate contact should be reported immediately to emyluz@sacredwomaninstitute.com.
Sessions may only be recorded with prior mutual written consent. Unauthorized recording of sessions is strictly prohibited and may constitute a violation of Connecticut wiretapping law.
You agree to arrive sober and free from the influence of any substance that could impair your judgment or physical safety. Sacred Woman Institute reserves the right to cancel and retain the session fee if this condition is not met.
Sacred Woman Institute reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any individual at any time, for any reason, consistent with applicable law.
9. NO GUARANTEED RESULTS
Results from working with Sacred Woman Institute vary by individual. No specific outcomes -- emotional, physical, relational, spiritual, financial, or otherwise -- are guaranteed. Testimonials and examples shared on this website or in any marketing material reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of similar results for any other person. Past results are not indicative of future outcomes.
10. THIRD-PARTY REFERRALS AND LINKS
From time to time, Sacred Woman Institute may refer clients to third-party practitioners, services, or resources. These referrals are made in good faith as informational suggestions only. Sacred Woman Institute does not endorse, supervise, or accept any liability for the services, content, or conduct of any third-party practitioner or provider.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sacred Woman Institute LLC and Emyluz Delmar Riva shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages -- including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, loss of income, or loss of data -- arising out of or related to your use of this website, any content, any session, any program, any digital product, or any physical product offered by Sacred Woman Institute, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether Sacred Woman Institute was advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall Sacred Woman Institute's total liability to any individual for any cause of action exceed the total amount paid by that individual to Sacred Woman Institute in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
